Wine Spectator recognises 20 Hong Kong restaurants for their exceptional wine lists

If a glass of fine wine is integral to your dining experience, Wine Spectator's annual awards are always a useful indicator of which restaurants will best fulfil your oenophilic expectations. This year is no different, with 20 of Hong Kong's best restaurants receiving recognition of their outstanding wine list in Wine Spectator's 30th annual "Restaurant Awards" issue that comes out on August 31.

The awards are divided into three different levels. The highest award, the Grand Award, is given to restaurants that show an uncompromising passionate devotion to its wine programme, which typically offers 1,500 selection or more and features a serious breadth of top wine producers. The second tier is the Best of Award of Excellence, which recognises restaurants that offer 400 or more selection on its wine list, along with superior presentations. The last is the Award of Excellence that recognises restaurants with a wine list of over at least 100 selection well-chosen quality producers along with thematic match to the menu in both price and style.
