Junior The Pocket Bar
A tiny, nondescript bar surreptitiously tucked away in an alley of Tanjong Pagar hides a host of treasures that are begging to be discovered. The rotating menu features many exciting concepts from across the globe. Up this month, the bar casts a spotlight on Peru. Be transported to the heart of South America through a thrilling selection of cocktails and street snacks from their Peruvian concept menu. Adventurous imbibers will enjoy the amarillo sour, spiced up with a touch of aji amarillo (Amazonian yellow pepper) and guava, giving the drink added depth and richness. For a touch of sweetness, try the cacao, an infusion of rye whiskey, rum, sherry and sweet vermouth. Do not be fooled by its beguiling appearance—the cacao nibs shrewdly disguise the potency of the drink. Book here.

The Elephant Room
South Asian spices and spirits originating from India take the centre stage at the elephant room, where cocktail connoisseurs will delight in the unique selection of tipples on offer. Start the night with the race course plantation, made with clarified sugarcane, two indies by amrut rum and salt. The drink is sweet and earthy, with none of the artificial saccharinity. For something punchier, order the ayurveda, made with gooseberry, 10-day lacto-fermented grapes and nilavembu. Prefer a lighter drink? Get the Buffalo Road, an enchanting concoction of housemade pink guava and vetiver, crowned with a delectable pink guava jelly. Book here.
