The new wine bar with over 700 labels is set to present food pairings and tasting flights for the city’s most discerning palates

Wine bars have become a hit again this year, from James Suckling’s Wine Central to Piin and most recently, mixologist Ryan Nightingale’s Soho hot spot Shady Acres. This September, Thinkwine, a new independent wine bar, is set to open in Soho.

Co-founded by Romain Loriot and Jean-Benoit Issele, both French sommeliers by trade, Thinkwine resides in LL Tower, a new building that also houses Kinship. With previous tenures covering Rech by Alain Ducasse and as the group sommelier for Le Comptoir Group in Hong Kong, Loriot is joined by Issele, best known locally as the former restaurant manager at Frantzen’s Kitchen and formerly the head sommelier at Black Sheep Restaurants’ Belon, working alongside Daniel Calvert. Together the two French sommeliers are sourcing unique labels that are rare finds in local restaurants.

Guests can indulge in tasting flights of wines, together with a French bar bites menu with wine pairing suggested by the owners themselves. Thinkwine is set to open its doors mid-September, 2019.
