(Relaxnews) - After revealing his brass Form Tea Set in 2013, British designer Tom Dixon is extending his aesthetic to coffee with an all-copper set called Brew.

Due to release in September, Brew comprises a caddy, a scoop, a cafetiere, a stovetop espresso maker, a milk pan, espresso cups, a biscuit tin and a serving tray. The pieces are created from stainless steel and given a high-gloss finish from a film of vaporized copper.
The collection is said to treat coffee-making as "a form of art," and coffee-drinking as "a ceremonial performance that merits tie and reverence." Dixon is not the first designer to elevate the ritual of coffee-drinking into the realms of design, last year, Italian designer Luca Nichetto created a ceramic coffee set calledSucabaruca for the Mjölk Gallery in Toronto, with hand-engraved cups and pot on a tray of Canadian maplewood. Also in 2014, glassmaker Riedel teamed up with Nespresso on the Reveal Collection-- two coffee tasting glasses intended to bring out the aromas of the brand's latest "Grands Crus" coffee blends, and Italian luxury brand Alessi offers a range of coffee makers from international designers.
Due to release in September, the Brew collection is part of the Tom Dixon Accessories collection, for which the furniture designer takes inspiration from British heritage to create home products, gifts and design objects in resilient and heavyweight materials such as copper, marble, cast iron, brass and wood. The designer has previous created several brass pieces including the Form Tea Set, Tool - a set of architecture tools - and the accessories collection Cog.
