On the evenings of 27 and 28 September, wine enthusiasts were treated to a special champagne tasting masterclass by Perrier-Jouët, with four premium cuvées to be tasted alongside an in-depth exploration of the maison’s history and progress. With only ten seats available each night, each champagne session was truly intimate and exclusive. Guests were immersed into a world of nature upon arrival, with the Tatler Dining Kitchen space transformed into a verdant indoor paradise resplendent with greenery and flowers. At the entrance, the Curiosity Cloud—a sparkling interactive art installation by Vienna-based design duo Misher’Traxler—welcomed guests into a world of whimsy as tiny manmade butterflies came to life, fluttering in their suspended lightbulbs. This dialogue between human and nature is a direct reference to the harmony that must exist between winemaker and their terroir, a concept that comes to life in the glass.

For the masterclass led by brand ambassador Isabelle Piffard, guests embarked on a journey through a flight of four Perrier-Jouët champagnes: Grand Brut, Blanc de Blancs, Blason Rosé and Belle Époque champagnes. In addition to the Sensory Experience column where guests could scan a QR code to find out more about each cuvée and take in a series of isolated scents connected to the notes of each champagne, a special selection of perfume vials were passed around to each guest to further enhance their olfactory experience of the champagnes.

As a surprise to guests, the final tasting glass was upgraded to a Belle Époque Rosé champagne, for a truly priceless experience.

Please enjoy responsibly.
