A one-of-a-kind Louis XIII Le Methusalem six litre cognac decanter is now on display at Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur, making Malaysia the first country in Southeast Asia to host this rare item.

It is the world's first six litre crystal decanter ever created for a cognac, made by fine French crystal glassware company Baccarat, requiring over 20 master craftsmen to produce, meaning no two are ever exactly alike.

This marriage of fine cognac and fine glassware craftsmanship is cherished as a work of art and will retail in Malaysia for RM318,000. Each decanter will be individually numbered and only a very limited number of Louis XIII Le Mathusalem will be made.

For the unaccustomed, Louis XIII cognac is an uber premium cognac that takes four generations of cellar masters over 100 years to craft each decanter. It is made up of over 1200 eaux-de-vie, the youngest of which is at least 40 years old.

Those interested can head over to level three of Pavilion Kuala Lumpur at the Couture Pavilion section of the mall, as the decanter will be on display all throughout October in conjunction with the mall's "Journey Of Taste" promotion to highlight food and beverage.
