Here Are 4 Drinks For Adventurous Cocktail Drinkers
Mr Chew's Chino Latino Bar debuts four unique cocktails that reflects their culinary ethos – a creative fusion of Asian and Latin food influences.
Four new original and theatrical cocktails take the spotlight at the restobar's upstairs cocktail den, featuring out-of-the-norm ingredients such as homemade orgeat, fermented jasmine and rose tea kombucha, or burnt cocoa husks.
Take this drink for example, the Celestial 5, a smoky, savoury concoction made of duck fat washed dark rum with a Guinness reduction, orange bitters and a splash of hoisin sauce.
These drinks are available from 5pm to 1am and are versatile enough to either start the night with as an aperitif or end the night with as a digestif.
If you're interested in the latter, go for the Foguiera, a beach-side inspired blend of gin, dry vermouth and a luxardo bianco infused with pineapple and coconut. Tropical tasting, this one goes down smooth.
Have these cocktails with someone friendly because any drinking experience is best enjoyed with another. Drinks like theJungle Fog will definitely keep the conversational fire between you and your friends burning if you're there to talk drinks, thanks to its exotic list of ingredients.
All you have to do is ask and the friendly bartender will let you know that this drink is made of soursop-infused gin mixed with fermented jasmine and rose tea kombucha.
To be honest, we don't really know how these inventive cocktails were created. That's a story you'll have to ask Simon O'Brien, Mr Chew's bar manager and drinks' creator.
What we do know is this unusual cocktail called Inferno, is a warm and herbal cocktail made of Japanese whisky, Bentong ginger wine, spiced pomegranate juice and homemade red dates and ginseng liqueur.
Definitely a spirit forward drink for those looking for a bold flavoured cocktail.
