An exciting inaugural collaboration between Hennessy and Loewe, where cognac meets couture in a creative union inspired by the chestnut burr

Trust Loewe’s couturiers to turn fruits and vegetables into haute couture. From the fruit-themed capsule, where watermelons and kiwis become fashion accessories, to creative director Jonathan Anderson’s viral tomato clutch, the Spanish luxury house’s quirky track record continues with the imaginative use of a new ingredient: the chestnut.

In Hennessy Paradis’s first-ever collaboration with a fashion house, Loewe’s master leather artisans have developed a chestnut burr-inspired leather nest to encase the luxurious decanter, transforming it into a unique objet d’art.

This limited-edition nest entices collectors with three colours that mirror the chestnut’s life cycle: anise, amber and chestnut. This blends nature’s own haute couture palette with the signature hues of Loewe’s iconic leather goods. The irony is delightful: liquid gold is protected by the very material that once sheltered Hennessy’s most precious barrels, a tasteful nod to the chestnut wood circles traditionally used to safeguard them.

When touched by Anderson’s creative vision, the coveted cognac transforms into an almost religious experience, producing what can only be described as wearable architecture for a collector’s liquor cabinet. For the uninitiated, the Hennessy Paradis is crafted by Maurice Fillioux, Hennessy’s sixth-generation master blender. Fillioux compares the blend to a symphonic orchestra, combining around 100 eaux-de-vie to achieve a harmonious cognac with rich copper tones and a voluptuous, silky texture.

Such devotion is evident in the synergy of craftsmanship, especially in the first-ever Hennessy Paradis jeroboam. Limited to only 50 bottles worldwide, artisans dedicate over 33 hours to each handcrafted leather nest made with over 875 intricate knots. Loewe’s signature leather is also used to fashion accompanying pieces: a leather belt, a neck clip and items for a dedicated serving ritual, which includes two glasses and a pipette.

The inaugural collection includes two variations: the above three-litre jeroboam, with pricing available upon request; and a 700 ml edition, priced at approximately S$3900 and limited to 180 units worldwide, boasts 400 intricate knots over 11 hours of handicraft. This unique union, where Spanish leather artistry cradles French liquid poetry, is luxury’s perfect storm and the ultimate collector's coup.
