The most iconic F1 afterparty on September 16 and 17 enjoyed an extra kick with its official tequila sponsor, Don Julio 1942

Fast cars, burning asphalt, and some of the wildest afterparties ever—these are just some of the things you can expect during F1 season, undoubtedly the hottest weekend in Singapore. And if you’re anyone who’s anyone, you might have found yourself at Millenia Walk for the Amber Lounge afterparty on September 16 and 17 this year with the roar of the races still in your ears, where you might have glimpsed Don Julio 1942’s conical tequila bottle on the DJ console.

A first for the brand, this F1 weekend marked Don Julio 1942’s first-ever partnership with Amber Lounge, touted as the world’s “most exclusive afterparty”. With a reputation for being the “first luxury tequila” produced in Atotonilco El Alto in Mexico for over 80 years, Don Julio 1942 is the tequila for monumental celebrations—especially for a party like Amber Lounge, which welcomed the newly-crowned winner of the Singapore Grand Prix, Carlos Sainz, on September 17. Synonymous with luxury and celebrity, Amber Lounge also celebrated its 15th anniversary in Singapore this year, leaving the atmosphere crackling with electricity.

Guests of the brand also lit up the dance floor, with Thai TV star Ploy Cherman, Thao Nhi Jenny Le (the first runner-up Miss Universe Vietnam 2022), Thai rapper Twopee from Southside, and renowned Vietnamese stylist Hoàng Ku. On the local front, DJ Jade Rasif, beatboxer Dharni, DJ Sonia Chew and style icon Mae Tan bore the standard of progressive fashion and culture, syncing perfectly with Don Julio 1942’s ideals.

Spinning the wheels at the DJ on Saturday was rapper Lil Jon, who has long been a fan of Don Julio 1942. Perched on top of his console was the iconic Don Julio 1942 bottle, and in a perfect synergy, Lil Jon shouted out the brand in conjunction with his hit song ‘Shots’ produced with electronic dance music duo LMFAO. If you were not in the mood for “shots”, however, an exclusive Don Julio 1942 bar served up specially-crafted Don Julio cocktails, making this year’s afterparty an indulgent one to remember.
