After a several-year absence, evian has officially returned to Indonesia. The comeback coincides with the French natural mineral water brand's 200th anniversary, making Indonesia one of the first markets to celebrate this milestone.
Few brands can claim a legacy that spans two centuries. Fewer still have remained relevant throughout that time, earning a place on dining tables, in Michelin-starred restaurants, and in the everyday rituals of generations around the world. In 2026, evian marks its 200th anniversary, with Indonesia becoming one of the first countries to welcome the celebration and the brand's long-awaited return after several years away from the local market.
Evian's return is about more than bringing back a familiar name. It also celebrates a story that began in 1826 at the foot of the French Alps. Every drop of evian comes from the same protected spring and spends around 15 years naturally filtering through layers of glacial rock. This slow journey gives the water its distinctive natural mineral composition without any chemical treatment or added minerals.
The bicentenary is being celebrated globally through Live Young, the philosophy that has long defined the brand. For evian, living young is not about age, but about embracing a mindset. It is reflected in everyday choices: staying hydrated, eating mindfully, and appreciating the small moments that contribute to overall wellbeing.
That spirit comes to life in the latest global campaign featuring the evian ambassador family, including tennis champions Carlos Alcaraz, Emma Raducanu, and Frances Tiafoe, alongside professional golfer Céline Boutier. Set against the snow-covered French Alps, the campaign serves as a reminder that every bottle of evian begins its journey in the same pristine landscape it has called home for the past two centuries.
Behind that iconic spring lies a protected 125-square-kilometre ecosystem that evian has helped preserve for more than 30 years. This long-term commitment plays a vital role in safeguarding the quality and purity of its natural mineral water for generations to come.
"Two centuries have passed, yet our commitment to living young and always moving forward remains unchanged. We are also proud to be back in Indonesia, a country that has long appreciated quality," says Dawid Borowiec, Global Director of evian.

Above Chef Louis Pacquelin brings the French Fun Dining philosophy to Jakarta
Evian's return to Indonesia was first introduced in late 2025 through the evian Chef Series. One of its highlights was an exclusive private dinner at Pullman Jakarta featuring Chef Louis Pacquelin. Trained under Alain Ducasse, Pacquelin is known for his French Fun Dining philosophy, bringing refined French cuisine to life in a relaxed and approachable setting.
For Pacquelin, visiting evian's natural spring in the French Alps offered a deeper appreciation of the brand. Witnessing the water's 15-year natural journey firsthand gave new meaning to every dish paired with evian, an experience he later shared with guests during the exclusive dinner in Jakarta.
Starting in July 2026, consumers across Indonesia can once again enjoy evian Still in 330ml, 500ml, 750ml, and 1.5L bottles through official distributor Sukanda at leading retailers including GrandLucky, Foodhall, and Pepito. For elevated dining occasions, the evian Glass Collection, featuring both Still and Sparkling varieties, is also available at selected hotels and restaurants such as Pullman Jakarta, The St. Regis Jakarta, Arena Group, and Artisan Group.
Two hundred years on, evian continues to draw from the same Alpine spring and embrace the same philosophy that has shaped its identity for generations. Its return to Indonesia marks more than the comeback of an iconic natural mineral water. It is a celebration of heritage, consistency, and the enduring belief that some traditions are worth preserving.
