The event, which is held at Terminals 1 to 4, features an impressive collection of craft gins, whiskies and beers—including the locally produced Tanglin Gin

So you’re all set for your holiday, and being the early bird that you are, have a few hours to spare at the airport. Instead of wasting precious time, why not head to the DFS Stores at Terminals 1, 2, 3 or 4 to check out its inaugural Craft Festival, happening now until October 31.

With the crafts scene experiencing an ‘impressive boom’ in the last decade, Wilcy Wong, DFS group managing director Singapore and Indonesia says, “We believe in providing customers new and engaging retail experiences…and this provides us a platform to showcase our unique and exclusive products.”

There are 73 craft gins, whiskies and beers to be exact—all available for sampling. And for the first time, the offerings include the orchid-infused Tanglin Gin, the first gin produced locally by head distiller Tim Whitefield.

Produced all the way in the United Kingdom, and worth every precious drop, is Halewood Wine & Spirits’s two stunning expressions—also available here for the first time. First is the Whitley Neill Original Gin, which is soft and smooth on the palate, with subtle nuances of juniper, citrus and herbs.

While this seems made for gin newbies, the full-bodied Whitley Neill Rhubarb Ginger Gin has aggressive notes of rhubarb and ginger which, perhaps, will cater more towards gin enthusiasts.
