Proceeds from the sale of Jose Cuervo 250 Aniversario will go towards supporting COA, Hong Kong’s premier tequila and mezcal bar

The starting bid is HK$28,000 (with bid increments of HK$500) and proceeds from the sale will go directly to benefit COA, the beloved tequila and mezcal specialist helmed by Jay Khan.
Why exactly is this particular tequila potentially worth more than HK$30,000? The Jose Cuervo 250 Aniversario is one of only two bottles made available to the Asia markets, and the only one that is being made available for purchase. The super premium tequila from one of the industry’s most established producers is arguably one of the rarest bottles ever made, and with only 495 bottles and featuring a blend of Extra Añejo tequilas ranging from five to 20 years old, along with Blanco tequila that had been stored in the Cuervo cellars for over a century.
The tequila itself was produced to commemorate ten generations of the Cuervo family business, which began in November 2, 1758 when Don Jose Antonio de Cuervo obtained their first plot of land to cultivate agave. It is from this land that the blue agave that goes into he 250 Aniversario tequila are taken. The curved glass decanter is also inspired by the original glass bottles that was first used by Jose Cuervo to ship tequilas to towns all over Mexico.
The winning bid also comes with an exclusive two-hour tequila appreciation class for 2-3 guests, with Jay Khan himself; the experience comes with three tequila tasting flights and welcome drinks for all attendees.
