The Chinese Restaurant’s head chef Kwai-kai Lo presents traditional warming dishes showcasing traditional Cantonese flavours.
Despite the warmer weather, winter is approaching and as a result Kawi-kai Lo, the head chef of The Chinese Restaurant at the Hyatt Regency is presenting dishes inspired by warming Chinese casseroles through the months of November and December.
Cantonese cuisine takes pride in the variety of winter specialties served during the colder months. Chef Lo takes seasonal ingredients, and adds a few twists on his own turning them into his signature winter specials. Notable dishes include:
- Braised chicken with sweeten Chinese rice wine
- Braised lamb with bamboo shoots and black mushrooms
- Traditional snake soup
- Wok-fried shredded venison wth fish maw and spicy chili sauce
- Pan-fried lotus root cake with preserved meat
- Braised carp fish with ginger and spring onions.
The Chinese Restaurant’s winter specialties are available throughout the months of November and December.
