The next time you drop by the restaurant for a meal, inquire about executive chef Oliver Hyde’s newly-debuted “Artemis Mixed Grill”—a sharing platter of three different meat dishes updated every two weeks.
This week, the spotlight is on the Black Angus ribeye beef (500g), Iberico pork loin (400g) and a half rack of lamb (400g), big enough for 4 to 5 people to share. And if these aren’t enough for you, they come with delectable side dishes of asparagus with truffle and parmesan, chopped Greek vegetable salad and wild rice pilaf.
Keep in mind though that this is a popular offering, so pre-orders are always recommended.
Journey to the 17th century via the Italian restaurant’s wine pairing dinner on September 30, featuring tipples from Groot Constantia, South Africa’s oldest wine estate that was founded more than 330 years ago.
The stellar selection of Groot Constantia wines will be paired with a specially-curated selection of canapes and contemporary Italian fare. Such are the pan-seared Hokkaido scallops with porcini mushrooms and tarragon emulsion, matched with the crisp and fresh 2018 Chardonnay, and the mustard crusted venison loin showered with thyme jus, which goes well with the beautiful blackcurrant and blueberry flavours of the 2016 Gouverneurs Reserve.

In normal times, most of us would have been celebrating Oktoberfest in Germany during this period. But since we still can’t travel, the restaurant is bringing the best of Bavarian culture to us via an inspired feast until October 11.
As if you were in Munich, dig into the likes of crispy pork knuckle paired with red wine braised cabbage; veal schnitzel with potato salad; and grilled pork bratwurst with sauerkraut. Naturally, these are best paired with beers, and if you purchase any of these special dishes, you’ll enjoy sublime beers such as Erdinger, Tiger and Archipelago Tropical Pale Ale at a very special price. Violet Oon Singapore Satay Bar & Grill
After a long wait, chef Violet Oon’s satay bar and grill restaurant in Clarke Quay has finally re-opened its doors. That means you can savour the culinary team’s flame-grilled signatures, among which are the jumbo chicken and pork satay, served with house-made peanut sauce and freshly-grated pineapple; and the sambal bajak udang, or grilled tiger prawns served with a piquant chilli padi relish accented with garlic and shallots.
There are new dishes on the menu, too, so tantalise your tastebuds with the smoky and juicy ayam panggang, or the spicy potato in sambal hijau topped with crispy ikan bilis and chargrilled ladyfingers lemak. For the months of September and October, you can even enjoy a complimentary board of half a dozen petite chicken street satay with every $55++ spend on beverages.
Burgers & Shakers
Those with a penchant for burgers and visit may visit Swissôtel The Stamford’s new casual dining concept, located at the Clove. The burger menu features an array of meaty offerings, made using premium and well-marbled Angus beef from the family-owned Stanbroke cattle stations in northern Queensland, Australia.
Standouts include the Double Up, showcasing beer-battered and grilled patties stacked with pickled onions and chilli, cheddar cheese, bacon jam and parmesan aioli. For non-meat eaters, you also have the Moo-Chas Grass-Ias, made with Impossible Meat patty topped with homemade chilli, coriander and jalapeño mayonnaise.
Wash these all down with extra indulgent shakes, and one of the popular varieties is the local-inspired Avochendol, a delightful combination of creamy avocado with gula melaka, jelly, azuki beans and coconut.
