Since time is of the essence, we have filtered out the best dining options that are a cut above the rest. From fiery Sichuan cuisine to authentic Japanese yakitori, here are some of the options worth staking out this week for dining reservations and delivery.

1. Sichuan Alley

The unassuming restaurant looks as though it could be like any other underwhelming eatery in the CBD, but chef Pang Kok Keong has quite a reputation for his sumptuous Sichuanese rice noodles. Sichuan Alley’s winning noodles are the culmination of laborious months of research and understudying an artisan in Sichuan. Try the signature dan dan noodle, an original recipe by Pang himself. The noodles are chewy, steeped in a viscous sauce of sesame paste, chilli oil, juicy minced pork and those show-stealing peppercorns. Or for something slightly more unconventional, go for the French red wine Wagyu brisket with truffle foam. The Australian Wagyu brisket is tender and flavourful, while the truffle foam lends the dish its unique taste. The menu also presents other tantalising Sichuan dishes, indulging chilli devotees while quashing preconceived notions of Sichuan cuisine. Book here.

2. The Butcher’s Wife

It’s rare to find an intimate, welcoming place like The Butcher’s Wife serving inventive gluten-free dishes that are creative and hearty. Expect satisfying and comforting fare with both Brazilian and Asian influences. Start with the pão de queijo, an elevated version of the classic Brazilian cheese bread, with fermented tapioca pulp accompanied by a spicy tomato and chilli sambal. Move on to other innovative offerings like the sago and coconut prawn. Plump, juicy prawns are coated with sago and desiccated coconut then deep-fried till crispy. A tangy açai flavoured mayonnaise makes the perfect accompaniment. Apart from the mains, the desserts are equally worth a mention. Most noteworthy is ice cream "Magnums'', a whimsical makeover of the classic Magnum ice cream in two diverse rotating flavours that run the gamut from miso with buckwheat and chocolate to mango purée ice cream with a crisp coconut milk shell. Tatler Asia

The river prawn kebab with a dash of tandoori spices holds up beautifully to the char of the grill and the Mongolian style lamb kebab with Chinese spices is lavish yet nourishing.
