2. The Grand Lobby

Revel in Nordic delicacies at The Grand Lobby’s Oslo afternoon tea experience. The delightful spread comprises bite-sized gems inspired by Norwegian flavours. Savour the likes of creamy avocado hash with smoked salmon; traditional rollmops (pickled herring) with beetroot and horseradish cream; and smoky pastrami sandwich with mayonnaise. Its sweet treats spread is crafted by executive pastry chef Tai Chien Lin, and consists of quintessential Norwegian desserts such as Fyrstekake, a rich Norwegian cardamom and almond tart; creamy lingonberry mousse; and traditional almond cookies.

3. Tiong Bahru Bakery

Northerners rejoice, as Tiong Bahru Bakery has opened its ninth outlet at Serangoon Gardens. Savour its signature French creations—without the hassle of travelling—such as its buttery croissant, flaky kouign amann (sweet Breton cake), and canelé. For something savoury, opt for its brie and roasted mushroom croissant which consists of creamy brie and fragrant mushrooms encased within a freshly-baked croissant.

4. Kahuna Açai

Here, açai bowls are made and blended in-house, with ingredients thoughtfully sourced from sustainable farms around the world. Chef Kuldeep Negi welcomes the new year with a refreshed set menu, featuring authentic flavours of Rajasthan. Come with an empty stomach and feast on Rajasthani delicacies, including its deep-fried yellow lentil dumplings served with refreshingly chilled mustard and Asafoetida water.
 
Diners can also look forward to an enticing selection of main courses, including its Murgh Mokul, which is essentially a succulent chicken breast cooked in a wonderful medley of yoghurt, almond paste and ground mace. Other highlights include Banjara Gosht or juicy lamb chops; and Dal Batti Churma, chef Negi’s signature yellow lentil curry. Each main is complemented by freshly-baked Rajasthani speciality breads.
