2. Luke’s Lobster

Tatler Asia

As part of its ‘Luke’s Goes Local’ series, this eatery has unveiled its new local cuisine-inspired lobster roll, sambal achar lobster roll. Created by food writer and part-time chef Annette Tan of FatFuku, this roll was inspired by her childhood habit of lacing her sandwiches with sambal belacan and mayonnaise to create a delicious convergence of cultures.

With this roll, you can look forward to juicy chunks of sustainably farmed lobsters and refreshing pickled Nonya achar (Nonya spicy mixed vegetables). These are tossed in a wonderful blend of mild sambal belachan mayo sauce for good measure. Harking back to the eatery’s New England origins, the roll is finished with a sprinkle of fresh locally sourced dill. Available from now until January 15, 2022 across all Luke’s Lobster shacks.

Its chicken shwarma flatbread is a must-try, containing grilled chicken thigh, tahini, pecorino sardo cheese and hot sauce. Served with a warm house-made Saudi Arabian manaeesh (flatbread).

Of course, a meal wouldn’t be complete without cocktails.
