Raise your glass and say "Prost!" while feasting at these eateries this Oktoberfest

Oktoberfest is an annual beer festival that started in Munich, Germany, and it pays tribute to the rich Bavarian history through dancing, eating and, of course, drinking beer. Before Covid-19, revellers would flock to the country to partake in the celebrations that are spread out over two weeks.

While this year's Oktoberfest festivities in Munich are cancelled again, celebrate it in Singapore, at these restaurants serving up delectable Bavarian dishes paired with a plethora of ice-cold beers. Prost!

Oktoberfest is always a special time for Brotzeit, so it's no surprise that the culinary team has come up with an enticing Bavarian feast from now until October 24. Dig into the likes of breaded meatloaf, smoked trout, pork ribs and crispy pork knuckles; for something even more special, the Oktoberfest platter comprises classic and traditional dishes such as the fork-tender oven-roasted pork knuckle, honey-glazed pork ribs, Nürnberger stadtwurst (pork and beef sausage) and Thuringian sausage (smoked, semi-dried sausage).

Complement your feast with the official Erdinger Oktoberfest 2021 brew, imported directly from Erding, Germany. This limited-edition booze has smooth, malty aromas and pronounced bitterness that is livened up with a splash of sparkling carbonic acid.

Tatler Tip: For discerning drinkers, start with an aperitif, before progressing to beer. Its new expanded list of distilled drinks include whiskeys, schnapps and liqueurs from world-renowned distilleries in Germany and Austria.
