This Valentine’s Day, chef Philippe Orrico offers one couple the opportunity to enjoy an exceptional meal at the chef’s table on his restaurant’s private rooftop. The lucky pair will be able to take in Hong Kong’s dramatic skyline whilst savouring a series of exquisite dishes, served by the chef himself along with detailed introductions and premium wine pairing. A dedicated server will also attend to the table’s every need throughout the course of the night.

Philippe Orrico’s six-course menu (HK$8,888) will be available on Valentine’s Day for one couple only—please call the restaurant directly for details. The restaurant will also offer menus from HK$988 whilst a lounge menu serves up more casual options for HK$488 per person.

2. Gradini

Think flowers are overrated for the romantic occasion? The floral cocktails at Gradini Bar are the delicious proofs that flowers do not always have to be presented in the form of a bouquet. Glowing in pink and purple hues, the cocktails are infused with rose and lavender specifically created for the occasion.

When you are done at the bar, jump in on a romantic gastronomic feast starting with seared jumbo scallop in blood orange mayonnaise and lobster mille-feuille. Move on to the main event with slow-roasted Iberico lamb in mustard sauce and top it all off with some green tea mousse, crisp black sesame sponge cake with red beans.

The Valentine’s Day menu is available on February 14 from 6:00pm—8:00pm (HK$1,488 per couple) and from 8:30pm—11:00pm (HK$2,188 per couple).

3. Épure

Led by chef Nicolas Boutin, a special seven-course dinner menu will be served at Épure on this Valentine’s Day to highlight an evening of romance. From langoustine to 140-day female chicken ‘Pascal Cosnet’, the French fine dining restaurant has dedicated a recommended wine to pair with each dish from the menu to make sure it will be a feast to remember.

Diners will also receive a complimentary packet of FANCL Sweetheart Vitamin C, a food supplement containing the amount of vitamin C equivalent to that provided by 18 lemons.

The seven-course menu (HK$1,688 per person) will be available on February 14 from 6:30pm—10:30pm with five-glass wine pairing (HK$800 per person) on offer to complement the menu.

4. The Continental

Treat your S.O. to an intimate four-course dinner among the cosy surroundings of The Continental. The menu on offer this Valentine’s Day will feature smoked salmon and celery root terrine, followed by a beetroot risotto and duck confit and a choice of wagyu beef cheek and sirloin or baked branzino with lobster consommé. The Coeur de la Crème with white chocolate and rose petal jam is the final sweet treat.

The Continental also designed two special cocktails with For Him being a whiskey-based drink mixed with pineapple, passionfruit, fresh rosemary and homemade vanilla syrup and For Her being a gin-based cocktail mixed with Chambord liqueur, fresh blackberries, homemade lavender syrup, and whipped cream topped with a splash of soda.

5. Mr & Mrs Fox

Looking to celebrate Valentine’s Day with a more playful menu? Mr & Mrs Fox has just the menu for you. The four-course dinner starts with a bites platter including heirloom tomato tarts, sea crackers with avocado and foie gras macaroons. Followed by the second course featuring a poached oyster with garlic cream, roasted salsify and salmon roe.

The main course will offer you a selection of dishes to choose from, including beef tenderloin with manchego cheese, mushrooms, and sweetbreads complimented with a bone marrow sauce or a black sea bass with clams, and a confit of parsnip and dashi emulsion. All lovebirds will also be spoilt with caramel mousse with candied nuts and brown butter crisps as the sweet finale to the night.

Indulge in an Italian feast with your S.O. this Valentine’s Day because Mercato is offering a seven-course dinner menu for this special occasion. The meal begins with special Daniel Sorlut oysters, followed by Japanese tuna and burrata cheese, and a selection of main dishes ranging from roasted foie gras, sea urchin risotto, Boston lobsters to beef tenderloin. A fifth course of house-made mascarpone will be served before the arrival of the dessert – a “Baci” pavolova, making it a truly authentic Italian feast.

For almost half a century, Hugo’s has been a popular venue for a romantic date in town. This is why their six-course dinner menu for Valentine’s Day this year is something you should not miss.

The feast features gourmet appetisers such as Dutch veal tartare with quail egg, oscietra caviar, cream cheese, mustard ice cream and micro leaves.
