The Japanese noodle specialist is taking its signature hot and numbing spicy delights to Causeway Bay

Founded in 2009 as a small restaurant with only nine counter seats, Kikanbo has made its signature hot and spicy ramen popular throughout Tokyo and Taipei. The esteemed ramen franchise is set to open in Causeway Bay this summer, tentatively opening in August 2019.

Celebrated for its Karashibi miso ramen featuring a broth simmered with pork, chicken, and seafood, Kikanbo also offers five levels of spiciness and numbness derived from Wakayama grape sansho pepper oil and a blend of red chillies. The popular ramen is then topped with stir-fried crispy baby corn, bean sprouts, and star anise-flavoured sweet braised pork belly. The Hong Kong outpost is set to present the same line up of signature ramen as the brand’s other branches in Japan and Taiwan.
