Head over to Wong Chuk Hang to try out The Factory, a brand new private kitchen headed by Jonathan Glover and chef Brandon Tomkinson

The Butchers Club co-founder, Jonathan Glover has opened The Factory, a new private kitchen and event space located in Wong Chuk Hang.

With the kitchen set to be helmed by chef Brandon Tomkinson––who spent four years working and learning alongside Gordon Ramsay––guests will be treated to gourmet dishes such as chicken, foie gras galantine with fig jam and tomato bruschetta; the signature Carpet Bag tenderloin stuffed with oysters and wrapped in bacon; and mains including beef wellington; mushroom lasagna with creamed spinach; and an indulgent grilled lobster tail or pan-roasted foie gras.

Those with a sweet tooth can end the meal with The Factory's selection of desserts, such as the creamy baked cheesecake with berry commode, or soft-centred fondant with vanilla ice cream.

Serving groups of 15 or more, The Factory welcomes both intimate gatherings as well as large events in its 4,000 square feet dining room. Despite The Factory being located in an industrial building, the room itself promises to be warm and inviting, featuring fine artworks, deep wooden hued tables and cosy interiors.  

If you’re curious about what goes on in the kitchen, The Factory’s open kitchen is lined on one side of the dining room, providing guests front-row seats to the chef’s behind-the-scene kitchen secrets.

Glover’s extensive experience in the food and beverage industry led him to open and direct The Butchers Club in 2014, expanding the restaurant to Indonesia, China and Singapore after founding the company in Hong Kong. After leaving the company in 2018, he acted as a consultant for top hospitality companies and founded Argyle Smokehouse and Butchery in Sydney and Argyle Black Online Store, a Hong Kong-based butchers shop that supplies premium meats to the city. 

Chef Tomkinson also brings an impressive resume to the table––not only did he formerly head the kitchens of the now closed London House and Bread Street Kitchen, but he also worked at some of the hippest restaurants and gastro pubs in the UK, including Ace Hotel in Shoreditch, London.
