Staying in for the Easter weekend festivities? Here’s how you can still dine well

The long weekend means families will be going out in droves to take advantage of the Easter weekend food promotions—whether it’s for brunch, lunch, afternoon tea or dinner. And with Covid-19 restrictions still in place, it might be hard to book a table at your favourite restaurants during this time.

Here’s an idea: bring the feast home, as the chefs have also made available their Easter offerings for takeaway or delivery.

The culinary team wants you to eat well this Easter, that’s why their brunch platters are also available for takeaway. Choose the Family Favourite platter for an extensive spread of smoked salmon and guacamole croissant, buttery French toast and mini omelette, chicken chipolata sausage and grilled asparagus, among others.

Better yet, opt for the Fantastic Feast Platter for an amped-up spread that also includes the likes of crispy bacon, pork bratwurst and pork ham. Both seats are ideal for two and are available on April 4. Order here.

3. Hotel Jen Orchardgateway Singapore

Staying home for the Easter Weekend? Make it a merrier affair with the hotel’s Easter Bundle. It comes with a D.I.Y. Easter Tea which allows the whole family to create their own tea blends using ingredients such as frozen berries, honey and mint leaves. Not only is it fun, it's also a great activity you can do with the kids.

Once you’re done with drinks, partake in a festive menu of crispy fresh salads and delicious chilled prawns. Take note: these are only the appetisers to whet the appetite. The highlight is definitely the mains, with choices such as baked Boston lobsters, penne pasta with creamy pork bacon, and for the discerning kids, black truffle bocconcini cheese pizza. Another mouth-watering feast you can have at home is from Origin Grill’s talented chefs. The set comprises Easter classics, starting with freshly baked hot cross buns. After a delightful appetiser of quinoa salad, roasted pumpkin and herb dressing, you’ll get to feast on the New Zealand lamb which is marinated in herbs for six hours before it’s cooked sous vide to render the meat extremely tender and juicy. It’s also stuffed with couscous then slow-roasted for another few hours to give the meat a caramelised finish. Best eaten with accompaniments of charred asparagus and roasted carrots. Dessert is a decadent organic carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. Order here.
