But we’re not talking warm wine and lack-lustre snacks––in Hong Kong there are an array of luxurious picnic baskets available, which can all easily be ordered online and delivered to your chosen destination. The Ritz-Carlton, Hong Kong

Promising a luxurious spread, the Ritz-Carlton’s picnic basket features everything you need for an unforgettable outdoor dining experience.
 
The basket is available for two (HK$788) or four people (HK$1,488) and features a range of cold cuts and dips, freshly baked breads and pastries and a choice of beverages. To elevate your picnic further, add-ons such as Prunier caviar, Iberico ham, Veuve Clicquot Champagne and even a butler service can be requested. The hamper is available for takeaway from the hotel, or complimentary delivery and set up at the West Kowloon Nursery Park can also be arranged, along with delivery to other areas of Hong Kong at an additional charge.
 
For those looking for a unique staycation, the picnic basket is also included as part of the hotel’s new pet-friendly package.

Want to picnic atop the city at Victoria Peak Gardens? Well, Black Sheep’s Anglo-Indian restaurant, Rajasthan Rifles, lets you do just that.
 
Taking all of the fuss away from picnicking, the Picnic on the Peak basket is available every day from 12pm to 6pm, and comes inclusive of blankets, enamel flatware and a flask––so you only need to bring your appetite. Designed for two people, the basket is priced at HK$488 and features the Rajasthan Rifles Club Sandwich, seasonal fruits and clotted cream, chocolate brownies, nimbu soda and more.

Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong

Three different hamper are available––each one full to the brim with a selection of cheese from Les Frères Marchand and premium wines.
