Following 2016’s successful cocktail pop-up at the hotel, the New York City bar is returning to open its first permanent location outside of the Big Apple in early 2018

After a successful sold out pop-up event in 2016, the iconic cocktail bar PDT (Please Don’t Tell) is confirmed to open its first permanent outlet outside of New York City. Set for an early 2018 opening date, the cocktail concept is set to reside within Landmark Mandarin Oriental’s MO Bar.

Following the bar’s tradition, guests will enter the cocktail bar through a disguised entrance at the top of the staircase within Mo Bar. Designed by local designer Nelson Chow, the Hong Kong outpost of PDT will feature iconic details from its New York counterpart, such as the signature eclectic mix of taxidermy on the bar’s walls.

PDT HK is a strong follow-up to a successful pop-up event that headlined Landmark Mandarin’s Masters of Mixology programme last year. The Hong Kong branch of PDT will feature a cocktail menu that changes frequently throughout the year, together with limited edition wines, beers, and spirits. House cocktails such as Benton’s Old Fashioned, Shark and Mezcal Mule are staples among the cocktail selection, flanked by new creations by renowned mixologists Jim Meehan, Jeff Bell, and their creative bar team. Creative culinary partnerships with the city’s acclaimed chefs will form a list of bar snacks at PDT HK, beginning with Richard Ekkebus’ free-range pork, chicken, and beef hotdog, as well as Ekkebus’ take on American comfort food items.
