Nobu Kuala Lumpur welcomes a new head sushi chef, Micheole "Chico" Anung Dator, from Nobu Malibu with 11 years of experience under his belt serving in two of Nobu's American restaurants in Malibu and Hawaii.

A new head sushi chef calls for a new special 10-course sushi omakase menu that will only be available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for dinner at the restaurant's sushi bar.

The meal begins with a trio of Nobu-style sashimi before moving on to an assortment of sushi, a main course, a soup and a dessert.

One of the highlights of our experience with the new sushi omakase menu was the scallop sushi, which showcases Nobu's signature blend of Japanese ingredients and Peruvian influences. The addition of crushed red peppers spices things up with a lovely mild heat.

Other sushi gems like otoro topped with caviar and a hint of miso dressing, delights the palate.
