The Japanese restaurant in Hung Hom unveils several new dining options and a range of sake treats

Kazuo Okada, the Japanese restaurant in HungHom, has recently started offering some a la carte options from its kaiseki menu, so that diners can enjoy the delicate flavours of the restaurant’s kaiseki dishes without having to order the whole set menu. The special items are available from 9pm daily, and can be ordered from the seasonal kaiseki menu and executive chef Hirofumi Imamura’s special kaiseki menu.

Highlights include:

- Smoked salmon with nuta sauce and deep-fried chestnut with Fu crab thick sauce

- Kudzu simmered duck, slowly cooked leek soup

- Abalone, herring and herring roe rice with miso soup 

The choices from chef Imamura’s kaiseki menu include:

- Deep-fried scorpion fish soup

- Grilled omi beef in hobayaki style

- Truffle rice with miso soup

Those who want to enhance the dining experience with a sip of sake can order from Kazuo Okada’s 14 by-the-glass selections, and 30 choices that are offered by carafe. There is also a highlight of the month, a seasonal limited edition of Shinsen Iroiro Takubetsu Daiginjo, which is priced at HK$1,880 per bottle.
