Megan’s Kitchen releases new hot pot soup base and delicacies perfect for this fall and winter

Southeast Asia is one of the world's most diverse hotbeds of gastronomy thanks to the unique cuisines of each region, each featuring their own blend of herbs and spices. The distinctive flavours and aromas of Southeast Asian cuisines are a delightful treat. This year, with travel still on hold, Megan’s Kitchen has created a new hot pot soup base and a series of hot pot delicacies that will remind you of your holidays around the region.

Megan’s Kitchen’s Vietnamese superior beef broth is a clear broth that's simmered for at least 12 hours with a mix of of oxtail, ox bones and a variety of aromatic herbs. This soup is served together with a beef platter containing cooked ox tongue, oxtail, beef tripe, and beef shin, together with different condiments like fresh basil, lime wedges, sliced onion, bean sprouts, crispy shallots and minced peanuts, allowing guests to freely create their own “Taste of Vietnam”. This hot pot soup base is perfect for seafood and meat as it brings out the freshness of these ingredients without being too overpowering.

The menu also offers handmade shrimp balls with Vietnamese sausage, pork meatballs with lemongrass and straw mushrooms, Malaysian satay chicken dumplings with peanuts, and Thai-style red curry with roasted duck dumplings and lychee, with each dish containing an authentic taste of Southeast Asia in each bite.

Vegetarian options are readily available, including OmniPork meatballs with turmeric and okra, Beyond Meat beef balls with basil leaves and pine nuts, and Thai OmniPork strips dumplings with beancurd skin and tamarind.

The Matsuba crab and Satsuma wagyu also come highly recommended with this flavourful broth.
