After a successful three-month pop-up restaurant at Mandala Club last year, renowned Argentinean chef Mauro Colagreco will return to Singapore this summer with a permanent space at Capella Singapore.

Named Fiamma (which means flame in Italian), the restaurant was inspired by Colagreco’s childhood memories of watching his grandmother cook and brings to the table the heritage and spirit of Italian family cuisine. “Growing up in Colagreco’s family, the appreciation for fine Italian cuisine and its essence was integral in our daily life,” he explains, which is why he will serve up imaginative dishes that weave Italian culinary traditions with open flame cooking, masterful techniques and passion for using fresh produce.

He adds: “This new venture has been imaged by my life’s influences, from being inspired by the nature in life to my joy of sharing what makes the essence of the restaurant: Bringing the flame of people together, generosity and the simple joys of providing authentic hospitality.”

Fiamma will take over the space formerly occupied by Mediterranean restaurant, The Knolls.

The news has got gourmands in Singapore excited, given that Colagreco is one of the most sought-after chefs in the world. He boasts numerous accolades such as three Michelin stars and the prestigious title of The World’s Best Restaurant in 2019 for Mirazur in France, as well as a Michelin star for his restaurant Côte by Mauro Colagreco in Bangkok.
