The special-edition mooncake gift boxes feature characters from the legend of Mid-Autumn Festival, with Lady M collaborating with new Netflix release Over The Moon
As Mid-Autumn Festival approaches, two of Hong Kong’s most popular cake shops, Lady M and Dominique Ansel’s Dang Wen Li, celebrate the annual moon festival with the launch of new, limited edition mooncake gift packages.
Dang Wen Li by Dominique Ansel is celebrating its first Mid-Autumn Festival with a mooncake gift box that looks like a bunny-chef—it's a design inspired by the moon rabbit from festival lore. Inside the mooncake box are six miniature mooncakes filled with Earl Grey tea-infused egg custard and a DIY yuzu cookie kit hidden in the bunny’s tiny backpack—a sweet surprise for those who love to bake and decorate cookies at home.
From now until August 23, the Dang Wen Li bunny mooncake gift box is available for pre-order both in-store and online at an early bird price of HK$458 per set. Redemption of the mooncake gift box is available from August 24 to October 4, 2020.

Cake purveyor Lady M presents its annual Mid-Autumn Festival mooncake gift box, presented in the form of a lantern inspired by Over The Moon, an animated musical scheduled to debut on Netflix this September. As part of the collaboration between Lady M, Netflix, and Pearl Studio, the Lady M lantern box depicts characters from the animated film that tells the story of a young girl learning to make a rocket ship to travel to the moon to visit Chang-e, the legendary heroine of the Mid-Autumn Festival.
