Italian food takes over The Raintree Restaurant at Borneo Convention Centre, Kuching

Italian cuisine has found its way into the heart of The Raintree Restaurant from now until October 31, 2016.

There’s just something about Italian food and how it sits well with almost every palate.

Recognising this, The Raintree Restaurant at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) is putting the spotlight on all things Italian from now until October 31, 2016 with its latest promotion.

Calling it ‘The Classic Italian Connection’, Chef de Cuisine Virginia Kedit and her team have come up with a hearty line-up of starters, soup, main courses and desserts of the best Italian staples like frutti de mare (marinated seafood served with olives, stuffed cherry tomato, mushrooms and rocket leaves), risotto al fungi fritti (deep-fried mushroom risotto balls with garlic aioli), pasta al nero di sepia (squid ink pasta tossed with seafoodand sundried tomato), spinach gnocchi and more.

Dessert is an equally Italian affair with sweets like macadamia parfait, zabaione (light custard of fruit sabayon served with biscotti) and the classic Italian tiramisu.

The dishes are served ala carte with prices ranging from RM18 to RM85.
