In light of its 15th anniversary, lifestyle boutique Kapok is partnering with its Star Street neighbour Pici on a special tasting menu for the month of November. Paying tribute to Kapok's in-house Future Classics clothing line, the meal begins with a piquant tuna tartare, followed by a plate of homemade meatballs. Mains include three fan favourites such as the spicy orecchiete ‘nduja, the tagliolini truffle, and the ravioli carbonara. Dual desserts of tiramisu and panna cotta bring up the rear. All dishes are served for sharing.

Available until November 30, the menu is priced at HK$290 per person, or HK$260 plus a glass of prosecco for those who can provide proof of purchase from Kapok Sun Street during the same period. Conversely, those who have dined at Pici Wan Chai during the promotion period can receive 10 percent off their next purchase at Kapok Sun Street.

While Hong Kong's urbane denizens have long since removed themselves from the primal act of hunting, Écriture is hoping to bring a part of the savoury pleasures derived from game back to the city this fall. Bringing together the best catches from around the world, the annual seasonal Furs, Feathers & Iode menu explores some rare meats and seafood reinterpreted in chef Maxime Gilbert's cerebral style of cooking.

A mini pithivier of baby deer and hare with doe consommé begins the proceedings, followed by inventive dishes like wild bird meat served pate en seiche in a wrapping of cuttlefish; a French galantine of pheasant and red gurnard with white truffle; butter-aged partridge carved à la volée; kinki fish stuffed with red deer, and more.

Totalling nine courses, the menu is priced at HK$2,880 per person and is available until early January 2022.

Hailing from the Islay distillery of Bruichladdich, Scottish gin brand The Botanist is collaborating with The Ritz-Carlton's The Lounge & Bar until November 30 on an afternoon tea and a shellfish menu to pair with the complexities of the spirit's 22 botanicals.

Featuring ten sweet and savoury treats, the afternoon tea set is paired with two bespoke The Botanist gin cocktails featuring aromas of mint, thyme, sweet gale, gorse, and chamomile, reflecting the herbs of late summer in Islay. Meanwhile, the nighttime mussels frites menu (HK$688 per person) comprises three courses: an appetiser of gin-infused beetroot with cured salmon, and a choice of steamed Australian Kinkawooka mussels in an aromatic white wine sauce or a rich laksa broth, served with bread and French fries. A classic lemon tart ends the meal on a light note. A two-cocktail pairing made using The Botanist gin is available to add on for HK$260.

In burger-related news this week, Honbo is opening its fourth location at Harbour City in Tsim Sha Tsui. Opening on November 15, the diner overlooks Victoria Harbour, allowing customers to chow down on a USDA Double Gold Standard smash burger alongside a range of moreish sides.

Across the pond, Shake Shack has debuted a special collaboration to celebrate the fifth anniversary of women's streetwear title Hypebae for this weekend only. The star of the show is the galaxy-themed Supernova milkshake that contains vanilla custard, pineapple puree, coconut, sweet potato, and toppings of whipped cream, charcoal powder and silver sprinkles.

Shake Shack stans might also be tempted to fork out cash for three co-branded items: a two-way Alpha Industries L-2B Sherpa Flight Jacket with detachable patches, cat-eye shades in black and tortoiseshell, and a bucket hat in adult and kid sizes with detachable face shield. Make your way down to Pacific Place to catch this activation before its last day on November 7.

Taking place on November 18, chefs Lee Adams of Skye and Aurélie Altemaire of Odyssée will be collaborating for one night only, going back to their roots in a four-hands dinner showcasing British and French produce. The eight-course menu provides insight into the terroir and produce of these regions: from the UK, Adams has picked ingredients like Welsh lamb, Lancashire cheese, West Country oxtails and Morecambe Bay rock oysters, while Altemaire expresses her French gastronomy in elements such as Alsatian foie gras, French suckling pig, and Munster cheese from the east of France.

House sommelier Dolphin Ip will be serving an eight-glass wine pairing that matches English wines with Altemaire's dishes, and Alsatian wines with Adams'. The four-hands dinner menu is priced at HK$1,480 per person, or HK$1,800 with wine pairing.
