New social distancing measures have become the new normal as Hong Kong's restaurant industry is slowly bouncing back. This November, with Christmas just around the corner, there is plenty to explore and plan ahead for the most anticipated festival and year end celebration to come. Here are our picks of the highlights, from black and white truffle delicacies, early Christmas gifts and CBD cocktails. Let's get into the mood for celebrations together.

Assaggio's fresh black truffle pizza

Hong Kong Arts Centre's Assaggio offers this winter's first taste of black truffles. The Italian restaurant has launched a new Roman-style pizza topped with Italian sausage, three types of Italian cheeses (burrata, buffalo mozzarella and DOP taleggio), truffle caviar sauce, Parmigiano Reggiano cheese and a fresh egg yolk. The pizza is made to order, served with freshly shaved black truffles from France. The new fresh black truffle sprinkles pizza is priced at HK$628 each, available now. 


Alba White Truffle Menu At La Table French Brasserie

From now until 12 December, La Table French Brasserie at New World Millennium Hong Kong Hotel presents a five-course dinner set menu featuring prized white truffles from Alba, Italy. Guests can indulge in a refreshing starter of Hokkaido scallop carpaccio, followed by 65-degree poached organic egg and white truffle with Bayonne ham and brioche. White truffle risotto; Iberian pork with white truffle and cepes puree; and white truffle raspberry tartlet complete the five course menu, priced at HK$1,488 per person.


Soil To Soul Celebrates Christmas With Eight-Course Festive Menu

Inspired by Korean temple food, K11 Musea's Soil To Soul brings a contemporary twist to the traditional cuisine. The restaurant's first Christmas menu begins with Korean ginseng and chestnut soup; tofu and potato croquette; asparagus kimchi and the restaurant's most popular sweet and spicy mushroom dish. Four main courses follow, together with petit fours and specialty herbal tea. The festive menu is priced at HK$998 for lunch and HK$1,388 for dinner per person, with an optional six-glass wine pairing package at an additional HK$698 per person. The Christmas celebration menu is available from 16 to 31 December, 2020.

Goutal 'Enchanted Holiday' Afternoon Tea At Gradini

Gradini and French perfume house Goutal present their first afternoon tea collaboration this month. The crossover tea set is inspired by the perfume brand's two new signature perfumes, the citrus-laced Le Temps des Rêves and floral Rose PomPon. The light orange blossom scent of Le Temps des Reves is the inspiration behind chef Cano's savoury tea treats, while the rose Pompon accents the sweets with a touch of rosy aroma. Guests can choose between Illy coffee or brews from Tea WG for an enjoyable afternoon pastime. The collaboration tea set is priced at HK$298 per person and HK$528 for two, available from now until January 10, 2021.  


Venchi Launches New Christmas Collection

The beloved Italian chocolate brand celebrates Christmas early this year with two versions of the advent calendar where sweet lovers get a treat of every day until Christmas day arrives. The chocolate brand also offers four Christmas hampers ranging from HK$680 to HK$2,168 per hamper, where guests can enjoy the festive holiday season with sweet anticipation. The Venchi full Christmas chocolate collection is available at all 11 branches of Venchi stores across Hong Kong from 13 November. Guests placing advance orders on or before 7 December can enjoy an early bird discount.

Coa's Jay Khan Does A Guest Bartender Shift At Zuma

On 11 November, Coa's Jay Khan will be the guest mixologist at Central's Zuma. Khan will showcases his expertise and skills in mixology with Casamigos tequila during the one-night exclusive event, where Zuma's three new cocktails will be served, including The Bajiru Smash, Shapu, And Japanese Paloma, all created with Casamigos tequila and mezcal with a Japanese touch. The new cocktails will officially launch on 12 November at Zuma, and will be served with the restaurant's chef Oscar Luzon de Arcos' new selection of tempura dishes.


CBD Cocktails At Honi Honi

Following the launch of dedicated CBD store Found and CBD coffees from Winston's Coffee and Elephant Grounds, Honi Honi Tiki Cocktail Lounge collaborates with Life CBD for four new cocktail creations, each containing 30 millilitres of Life CBD. The cocktails are priced at HK$160 each. Alternatively, guests can purchase a 200-millilitre bottled version of the cocktail lounge's Maori Spring Punch or Pina Colada with 30 millilitres of Life CBD, priced at HK$150 each.
