The French confectionery brand collaborates with Hong Kong’s Café Deco Group to open their first café in the city

French confectionery brand Fauchon Paris is launching its first café in collaboration with local restaurant group Café Deco Group. The café takes space within the Shatin New Town Plaza arcade.

Seating more than 110 guests and spanning over 2,000 square feet, the décor of Fauchon Paris Le Café keeps the brand’s signature hot pink and black colour combination at the main dining area, while the main dining area keeps a simple white theme. The French confection brand is showcasing a rich array of handcrafted pastries and sweets, including a wide range of eclairs. The café also launches a few signature items as well as two new creations with its opening, including

- Carre Framboise (shortbread base with Swiss meringue, raspberries and white chocolate)
- Fashionchoc Cake (multi-layers of chocolate textures)
- Religieuse éclair (two layers of choux pastries filled with Ashanti chocolate cream with dark chocolate glaze)
- Millefeuille (Puff pastry filled with vanilla cream)

Aside from a rich selection of confectionery and pastries, the new establishment also brings a wide range of French savoury offerings including quiche Lorraine, foie gras salad, French onion soup, and sirloin steak with Fauchon fries, among many.
