Island Shangri-La Hong Kong is hosting a warm-up to the Singapore Food Festival (17 to 26 July) with a Singaporean-themed buffet at Café TOO. From now until June 28, diners get to tuck into yummy Singaporean food and take part in lucky draws to win roundtrip tickets to Singapore.

Singapore Tourism Board is one of the partners for this promotion so you can expect the real deal being flown in and served at Café TOO. Hong Kong diners will get a rare chance to savour Peranakan cooking, a truly Singaporean specialty borne out of a unique marriage of Malay and Chinese heritage. Must-tries at the buffet include assam laksa (rice noodle in a tangy tamarind-based broth topped with flaked fish), popiah (stuffed crepes with vegetables) as well as other traditional Peranakan dishes. Those with a sweet tooth can look forward to delicious nonya kuehs, Peranakan steamed rice cakes typically enriched with coconut milk.

It doesn't end there. Diners savouring Café TOO's Singapore-themed buffet also get to enter a lucky draw with top prizes such as two nights' stay at the Shangri-La Singapore and round trip tickets to the region via Singapore Airlines. Plus, diners get a HK$300 discount on Singapore travel packages booked through Singapore Airlines Holidays.
