Love Drake? You Can Now Buy His Champagne In Hong Kong
With over 10 different Champagne options to choose from, each bottle retails from HK$2,300 to HK$18,000.
Mod Sélection Champagnes is a relatively new line of Champagne made in collaboration between Drake, beverage entrepreneur, Brent Hocking and family-owned Champagne house, Maison Pierre Mignon.
The company first launched in 2018 in US and UK and quickly gathered worldwide attention, winning Robb Report’s “Best of the Best” Award in both 2019 and 2020, as well as the Wine Spectator Food & Wine Festival’s “Best of the Best” title.
With each bottle exuding the glitz and glamour of the hip hop star, the bottles feature metallic packaging, embossed with golden embellishments and raised detailing.
Sold exclusively online and in stores at Ginsberg+Chan, some of the available bottles include the Mod Selection Rose NV Sparkling (HK$3,100), Mod Selection Reserve Magnum NV Sparkling (HKD6,500) and Mod Selection Rose Magnum NV Sparkling (HKD $7,500).
If the luxe bottle and box packaging aren’t enough to persuade you, perhaps wine critic, James Suckling’s review on Rosé Vintage 2008 might.
"A fruity and creamy Champagne with subtle strawberries, flowers and raspberries. Some praline. Full-bodied, layered and fruity with very fine bubbles. Drink or hold," said Suckling, awarding the bottle 97 points in his review.
