The 100 Revolving Restaurant takes diners on a 360-degree view of the city over some of the chef Jessie Sincioco’s specialities from the menu.

From the 33rd floor of the MDC 100 building, feast your eyes on Eastwood City and its surrounding neighbourhoods while you dine on the continental selection of the chef Jessie Sincioco’s menu. The casually elegant restaurant is fit for intimate lunches and romantic dinners, its outermost tables set on top of a revolving belt that gives the restaurant its name. Tables at the centre of the area stand still but there is plenty of room for the view provided by its floor-to-ceiling windows.

Less than six months into its opening, 100 Revolving Restaurant has yet to be discovered by the city, but its passers-by and guests will surely have it in mind in time for the fireworks of the New Year.  Besides the ambience, the menu boasts delectable finds.

Balut Surprise

Sincioco’s Balut Surprise, a play on the soufflé concept with its crust and the traditional Filipino street food in its soup, is an indulgent starter to pair with one of the fresh salads – the alugbati salad with danggit (salted dried fish) a top recommendation, followed closely by the kesong puti (white goat cheese) salad. The solo pizzas are filling choices on crisp crusts topped with generous servings of their theme. The Pinoy Pizza has sisig, longganisa, adobo, tomato, and kesong puti; the Smoked Salmon and Arugula come as it is with a dollop of cream cheese. The more traditional can choose the Classic Pepperoni or Quattro Formaggi.

The menu offers “Something Japanese” with a selection of sushi rolls, the Dragon Maki garnering attention for its crunch and flavours packed with shrimp tempura, kampyo, cucumber, and black sesame seeds. The interesting Vegetable Maki is a great choice for light eaters and vegetarians, but comes as a refreshing bite for carnivores as well.

Revolving Jackfruit Torta

It doesn’t end there. The mains have numerous options from the Bistek, braised pork belly, and charcoal-grilled lamb kebabs. The menu isn’t wanting on sandwiches and burgers alike, no less with pasta or risotto. Leave space for the “100” desserts; with the chef’s background in the original French restaurant, Billy King’s Le Souffle, you can be sure the Dark Chocolate Souffle is done right. There is something for everyone at 100 Revolving Restaurant, making a visit well worth the trip up the 33 floors of the building. Take your meal slow, too, as a full revolution takes an hour and a half before you find yourself where you started, but with a satisfied appetite.
