Celebrity chef David Rocco whipped up a storm at this exclusive dinner

It was a balmy and breezy Friday evening. There was much excitement at Dusun by OpenHouse in Bangsar, which was busy preparing to welcome guests of BMW Malaysia for an exclusive dinner prepared by Canadian celebrity chef, author and TV host David Rocco. Rocco himself arrived on the scene in style, emerging from an imperial blue BMW 740Le.

Guests mingled and clinked glasses of drinks before being ushered to their respective seats for dinner. Rocco formally kicked off the evening with a welcome speech in which he revealed that Malaysia was his last destination before the pandemic lockdown. "I've come full circle as KL is now my first stop after the travel restrictions were lifted," he smiled.

Rocco curated the menu, which was expertly realised with the help of Chef Azli Ahmad of OpenHouse and Dusun by OpenHouse and his team. Highlights included the Beef Tenderloin con Salsa Tomato served with a tuna cream sauce, a mouth-watering Strozzapretti Pasta con Lamb Ragùas as the main course, and Tiramisu della Nonna, a personal favourite of Rocco's. Each course was gracefully paired with Lillet Blanc, Perrier-Jouet, Jacob's Creek Reserve Shiraz or Martell Cordon Bleu.
