Hot on the heels of a wildly successful two-hour donut pop-up earlier this month, Cookie DPT's Wil Fang announces a series of exciting new limited-edition dessert drops

After the wildly popular launch of Cookie DPT's Simpson’s Dohnut at Basehall—the limited-edition pink-glazed donut sold out within two hours—Cookie DPT founder William Fang has announced even bigger plans to expand his dessert business, starting with a line-up of limited-edition drops over the next few weeks, including a one-day cinnamon roll pop-up and a new sweet treat inspired by and dedicated to the late basketball legend Kobe Bryant.

If there's one lesson to be learned from the Cookie DPT donut pop-up, it's to get in line as early as you can. Think of Cookie DPT as the Supreme of the dessert world.

For one day only today 21 August, Cookie DPT at Basehall will sell cinnamon rolls—fluffy, light dough that's swirled with powdered cinnamon and sugar, baked and slathered with a generous helping of cream cheese frosting. The cinnamon rolls are priced at HK$40 each, available at Cookie DPT Basehall at 2:00pm sharp and they are limited in quantities with a limit of two pieces per person.

A variation on Cookie DPT’s matcha pineapple bun cookie, Cookie DPT's homage to Kobe Bryant will be a taro-pineapple-bun cookie—its purple-gold combination designed to mirror the LA Lakers’ signature colours. The cookie will be filled with a creamy taro and custard filling. The Kobe Bryant Tribute Cookie will be priced at HK$50, and will be available only on August 24, at both Basehall and the Cookie DPT pop-up at The Upper House.

Also available on the permanent menu as of this week is Cookie DPT's first vegan cookie—a dark chocolate chip cookie that is egg-free and dairy-free, in which butter is replaced with coconut oil—and a new chewy chocolate chip cookie, which debuts on 26 August.

The Cookie DPT pop-up at the Upper House will end on 31 August and the brand is planning a relocation this September to the arcade of Lee Gardens I. Watch this space on the latest updates on the relocation and new products available at the Causeway Bay location.
