Chaiwala

Curated by executive chef Prabir Banerjee, modern Indian restaurant Chaiwala kicks off their Mother's Day brunch set (HK$398 p.p.) with Indian street food staples like pani puri with jal-jeera and Kerala-style Malabar scallops, followed by a special tandoori cage served with chicken tikka, pink salt salmon and tandoor gobi inside, as well as a family-style chicken curry. Children can enjoy unlimited lassi free flow, while adults can add on champagne free flow to their meal.

Duck & Waffle

This London transplant will offer two different brunch menus on Mother's Day from 11 am until 4 pm. Highlights of the à la carte brunch menu include a full-sized English breakfast; congee with confit duck and egg; foie gras crème brûlée served with brioche and orange marmalade; and mushroom and truffle agnolotti. Meanwhile, the set brunch menu offers a selection of sharing starters, one main, one dessert, and a choice of sparkling juice or soft drink for HK$318 p.p. Mums will also receive a complimentary Ruby Rosé cocktail (Pampelle grapefruit aperitif, rosé and soda water), plus a small box of house-made chocolate truffles to take home.

Asaya Kitchen

For mothers of a more health-conscious stripe, opt for a five-course lunch at Rosewood's Asaya Kitchen (HK$688 p.p.), which includes such highlights as amberjack "crudo" with Kristal caviar, Japanese uni strozzapreti with stracciatella, lobster bouillabaisse with saffron rouille and baby greens, and mascarpone Chantilly with forest berries. If she's willing to let loose, add a four-glass wine pairing for HK$428 for a guilty pleasure.

Honjo

Served exclusively on 9 May, Honjo's 'A Journey with Mama' menu (HK$680 p.p.) starts off with appetisers of otoro, wagyu tataki, sushi and sashimi, before progressing into hot dishes like corn and prawn tempura, butter-bathed cauliflower with black truffle, and salmon teriyaki with charred lime. A warm chocolate truffle with matcha ice cream and sakura coulis rounds out the meal. Drinks packages can be added on with the choice of Perrier-Jouët Grand Brut free-flow and Four Fox Sake on top of the classic beverage offering of wines, beers and spirits.

Braza Churrascaria

Brazilian steakhouse Braza Churrascaria really knows how to treat mothers right, with its offer of a free all-you-can-eat buffet brunch for mums on the special day. They'll also enjoy a special price of HK$100 for the two-hour free-flow package, which includes house white and red wines, spirits and beers. Unfortunately, everyone else on the table will be paying HK$298 for the meal, as well as HK$228 for free-flow drinks, though each party will bring home a Polaroid at the end of the meal to commemorate the occasion.

Above & Beyond

Against a view of the harbour, Hotel Icon's Above & Beyond has prepared an eight-course set dinner featuring dishes like double-boiled sea whelk soup with French partridge and antler, steamed garoupa fillet with Yunnan ham and mushrooms, and wok-fried prawns with scallops and yellow fungus. Available from 7 to 9 May, the menu starts from HK$788 per person (minimum 4 pax); advanced booking is required.

Settle into Mandarin Oriental's famed afternoon tea, featuring an assortment of sweet treats and finger sandwiches, accompanied by the unmissable freshly-baked classic and raisin scones, served with the signature rose petal jam and clotted cream. The set is priced at HK$738 for two people, or HK$1,188 with a glass of Moët & Chandon Brut Impérial or Rosé Imperial Champagne for each person. Alternatively, those who prefer to snack on this afternoon tea at home can have it taken away in a "top hat" box for a total of HK$898 for two, available online or at The Mandarin Cake Shop for pick-up or delivery fro May 3 onwards.

Take in the stunning skyline at night with Hue's four-course Mother's Day dinner menu (HK$880 p.p.). The appetiser section presents a choice of confit spanner crab with almond gazpacho, or tea-smoked pigeon with pork belly farce and black garlic sauce; while pan-fried John Dory with Hokkaido scallops, French duck breast with walnut and pear puree, or grilled wagyu hanger steak in truffle sauce make up the mains. For dessert, choose between pink guava and goat’s milk cheesecake, or dark chocolate mousse served on a crispy meringue and garnished with salted caramel popcorn.

Morton’s The Steakhouse and Chanel Beauty have partnered to give Mum that special glow this Mother’s Day. All mothers will receive a complimentary 30-minute eye make-up service at Chanel Beauty's K11 Musea store when savouring Morton's three-course steak and lobster set menu (HK$688 p.p.) or à la carte menu on the day. Dishes to look forward to are the unctuous lobster bisque, the 6oz filet steak is served with a choice of jumbo lump crab cake, lobster tail or bacon-wrapped scallops, as well as parmesan and truffle matchstick fries or grilled jumbo asparagus.

Get a taste of homely Shunde cuisine at Rosewood's resident Chinese restaurant with an eight-course set dinner menu for all the family, priced at HK$1,580 p.p. Yat Tung Heen

Chef Tam of Michelin-starred restaurant Yat Tung Heen is cooking up a specially curated nine-course menu this Mother’s Day. Expect sumptuous dishes like braised abalone (10 heads) with grapefruit peel, crispy fried chicken, and tiger prawns in two ways. Classic Chinese desserts include double-boiled pear soup and chilled mango glutinous rolls with osmanthus puddings. Available from 1 to 9 May, the menu is priced at HK$3,380 for four persons, or HK$6,888 for eight persons.

La Rambla by Catalunya

Bring together the family for a Catalan tasting menu at La Rambla by Catalunya. Chef Ferran Tadeo will be cooking up the likes of sautéed chorizo with slow-cooked egg and fried potatoes, Galician octopus with migas, cured egg yolk, papada joselito and celeriac cream, as well as the signature seafood paella with carabinero prawns, mussels, calamari and clams. The meal ends on the crowd favourite of cinnamon churro sundaes, and the golden donut with bourbon and brown butter ice cream.
