Get ready as your favourite East Coast burger joint will be landing in Central this spring
Shake Shack is officially landing in Hong Kong. You heard about this from us last July, but we have since received confirmation that the renowned burger restaurant will be opening by mid-2018, and is set to take up the fourth floor rooftop space previously occupied by Red at Central’s IFC mall.
Shake Shack has collaborated with local restaurant group Maxim’s for its Greater China expansion, which kicks off with the opening in Hong Kong, followed by Macau and mainland China. The new establishment is kicking off its construction by collaborating with local illustrator and artist Zoie Lam, creating a hoarding that fuses local culture with American graffiti art.
Shake Shack’s first Hong Kong branch will mimick its original menu—that is, there are no plans for limited edition Hong Kong burgers just yet—and guests can indulge in their signature modern American classics such as natural Angus beef burgers, chicken sandwiches, griddled flat-top hot dogs, crinkle-cut fries and frozen custard shakes as well as an array of wines and craft beers.
Watch this space as we offer you further updates on Shake Shack’s opening.
