Once regarded as one of the most iconic Italian restaurants in town, The Drawing Room took a two-year break in February, 2014 and is now back in the game. The Italian establishment is moving to Central, and will re-open with a new selection of dishes together with its classics created by Gabriele Milani, the restaurant’s chef de cuisine.

Taking over the PMQ restaurant space that formerly housed Vasco, The Drawing Room will keep the floor-to-ceiling windows that invite natural sunlight to brighten up the dining space, which doubles a gallery to exhibit art works curated from around the world.  Chef Milani, a Vasco-alumni and Italian in origin, is designing a new colourful array of signatures on top of some Drawing Room classics. Guests can expect an adventurous blend of aromas, colours, and flavours in the restaurant’s offerings, including:

- Italian red prawn linguine with fresh tomato and chili
- Grilled quail with foie gras mousse, shallots, and red wine marmalade
- Creamy burrata with raw tomatoes and marinated Italian red prawn
- Langoustine tartare with Amalfi lemon cream and cucumber mayonnaise
- Homemade tagliolini with sea urchin and bottarga

Set to open on June 1, the 60-seat restaurant is offering two tasting menus, as well as a wine list featuring more than 600 bottles. Guests can choose between the restaurant’s signature dishes from the classic tasting menu or the seasonal tasting menu showcasing chef Milani’s new seasonal creations during dinner service. Each prix fixe offering also includes additional wine pairing option.
