The countdown is on for the opening of his newest restaurant venture, which takes inspiration from the tradition of long, leisurely Sunday lunches in Italian households.

Called Condividere, which means "sharing" in Italian, the restaurant is set to open in June inside the recently inaugurated Lavazza headquarters in Turin, Nuvola Lavazza.

The opening comes from the chef who helmed elBulli in Catalonia, Spain, which shuttered in 2011 at the height of its popularity after being crowned the title of world's best restaurant five times.

Unlike the ritualistic tasting menu, meals at Condividere will be much more informal. As its name suggests, dishes are meant to be shared amongst fellow diners, much like casual Sunday meals among Italian families.

"The concept of Condividere will offer a 'shared' experience of a high level of gastronomy in an environment where diners will feel comfortable, happy and want to be together," Adria said in a statement.

"It offers a way of understanding gastronomy that places the focus on man and his need to be in company, to share, and his search for quality and love of food. A new experience in an informal and friendly setting where the sharing of food goes hand in glove with an appreciation of the excellence of raw materials and craftsmanship."

In the world of haute gastronomy, Adria is undoubtedly one of the most influential chefs of the modern century, having discipled some of today's biggest rock star chefs including Rene Redzepi of Noma, Jose Andres of minibar, Grant Achatz of Alinea, and Andoni Luis Aduriz of Spain's Mugaritz.

Designed by Oscar-winning set designer Dante Ferretti, who has worked on films by Martin Scorsese, Francis Ford Coppola and Tim Burton, the 500 square meter space is described as urban, colorful, sumptuous and dream-like.

The kitchen will be overseen by Italian chef Federico Zanasi.

Condividere opens June 8.
