The doors are open, the tables are set and the tree is adorned in its most glittering finery. Christmas has returned to 181, and Fortnum’s new menu is set to burst like a Christmas cracker with all the joyous, jubilant new dishes their elves have waiting for you to enjoy.
Inspired by classic British dishes, the menu has been brought to life using responsibly, organically sourced—and not to mention utterly delicious—fresh ingredients. Brace your tastebuds for appetisers such as the velvety parsnip soup with golden apple and sultana; seared, succulent scallops with bacon jam; smoky mushrooms and more.
Then there’s the main event itself. Delight in delicately glazed Norfolk Bronze turkey with all the trimmings, or discover their Côte de Boeuf, charred to perfection and served with sauce Diane and fragrant truffle mashed potatoes. Oh, and all their main courses will be presented with the classic British banquet of sprouts with bacon, wild honey and Marmite-infused parsnips, crispy pigs in blankets and roasted rosemary and garlic perfumed potatoes. For dessert, you’ll be spoilt with their iconic Christmas pudding smothered in cognac butter and brandy cream. Or, if you’re hankering for something fruitier, there’s their apple and blueberry crumble to devour.
