Here’s a peek at our inaugural Hong Kong Tatler Best Restaurants guide cocktail event, through the eyes of some of our guests in attendance
The 2014 edition of the Hong Kong Tatler Best Restaurants guide marks its 30th anniversary, and to celebrate, we decided to organise our first-ever Hong Kong Tatler Best Restaurants cocktail event at Duddell’s, which saw some of the region’s best chefs, sommeliers and restaurant professionals in attendance.
Hosted by the Hong Kong Tatler Dining team and presented by American Express, we unveiled our newest Top 20 Restaurants in Hong Kong and Macau, and presented our annual dining awards, which included three new additions this year: Best Wine List (as chosen by our wine editor James Suckling), Best No-Reservations Restaurant, and Best New Restaurant as chosen by the readers of Hong Kong Tatler after a two-week online voting process.
We also held a social media competition using our official hashtag of the night, #BRG2014, where participating guests could have a chance to win several big prizes, with the grand offering being a five-day four-night stay in the Jimbaran Puri Bali with return air tickets. We also gave away bottles of Cristal champagne and a Bremont watch, worth HK$40,000.
