Good France, dubbed the "world's greatest French dinner", returns for its fourth consecutive year, with 18 restaurants taking part in Malaysia, 14 of which will be in Kuala Lumpur. The event's theme this year, which takes place on March 21, will highlight French wine and spirit, along with a menu to highlight this integral part of the cuisine. Started by renowned chef Alain Ducasse, 2018's Good France will feature a total of 3000 chefs and 3000 menus across 5 continents. Here are the 14 restaurants in Kuala Lumpur that will be taking part in this worldwide event and a preview of the dishes they'll be cooking up.

1. Yeast Bistronomy

Chef-owner Frank Ruidavet's Yeast group of restaurants has been in the KL region for over 5 years now, carving a name for itself as a casual yet authentic establishment for French food. This year, Yeast Bistronomy in Bangsar will feature their special Good France menu from March 21 to 24, with a lunch and dinner menu at RM56++ and RM128++ per pax respectively.

2. Cilantro

Winner of our Tatler Legacy award and champion of modern French food, Cilantro joins this year's Good France once again for a meal that will surely wow and please diners. Chef Takashi Kimura, who helms the restaurant, is known for his signature style of taking a few ingredients and fine tuning them to perfection on a plate

3. The Brasserie

The St Regis Kuala Lumpur's French Mediterranean restaurant celebrates Good France with a small yet focused menu, featuring truffle chicken consommé for the entrée, poached foie gras for the main and la rose des sable, coulis d’orange and sorbet au chocolat for dessert.

4. DC Restaurant

This well-known TTDI restaurant, and winner of our Best Independent Restaurant for 2018, will be releasing 3 special menus in ode to Good France, offering five, seven and eight course options. The talented chef Darren Chin will include his signature staples, such as takao cold somen with bafun uni, truffle celeriac with vegétal and 3s silky egg custard with Sapporo snow crab and agrumes, across the board.

5. 2 Ox French Bistro

Over at The Row, Chef Phillip Murray Dominic joins the festive celebration of excellent French cuisine with a menu priced at RM150 per pax for one starter, cheese course, main and dessert. Feast on dishes like poached tiget prawns terrine, roasted barramundi fillet and end with a dark chocolate mousse.

6. Enfin By James Won

A Krug and Hennessy ambassador, Enfin's approach to fine French foods is fun, engaging and extremely delicious. For Good France, the restaurant will be serving their signature dinner menu all month long from March 1 to 31. Expect whimsical and ambrosial dishes that will reward you with an evening to remember.

7. Nook, Aloft Hotel Kuala Lumpur

A wide cast of local chefs are taking part in this year's Good France, stepping up the game for the local dining scene. Nook over at Aloft Hotel will also feature a special menu this March 19 to 23, featuring a 3-course menu with twists on classics the likes of deconstructed classic beef bourguignon and foie gras torchon.

8. Nathalie Gourmet Studio

Another local French dining institution, this enterprising chef is well known for her authentic cuisine around town. Her restaurant in Solaris Dutamas will be featuring its own menu interpretation for Good France this March 21, touting mouthwatering dishes like Hokkaido scallop in snail butter cremolata and snail ragout tartar, along with truffled Brie in espuma puff fingerger, to name a few.

9. French Feast

Rustic and charming with a Malaysian decor twist, French Feast will be serving a one-night only menu for Good France on March 21 at RM95++ for three courses and RM120++ for four courses per person. With a focus on duck, diners can look foward to starting with a duck salad, moving on to duck confit boxing and ending with apple and prunes croustade sceneted with Armagnac liquor.

10. Supperclub

Chef Romain Fabre cooks up a storm for this year's Good France at Supperclub, TREC. If dishes like roasted lamb rack, black pepper sauce and mashed potatoes along with seared Hokkaido scallops, celeriac purée, glazed chestnut and lobster bisque seems right up your alley, this celebratory menu very well be for you.

11. Maison Francaise

This respected French restaurant will feature their Good France menu for one-night on March 21. Priced at RM320++ per pax, gourmands will get to indulge in slow cooked rump of lamb, broad beans and anchovy loin, French Larnaudie foie gras custard, smoked eel and Barigoule artichoke, before ending the meal with a selection of French cheeses and a white chocolate dessert.

12. Cocott'

Casual French eatery Cocott' in TTDI also joins in on the fun, with Chef Geoffroi Herin dishing out two sharing menus for the worldwide celebration this March 21. Australian beef rib-eye cooked in choron sauce, confit potatoes cooked in duck fat with thyme and garlic, as well as a durian tropézienne tart all appear as menu standouts.

13. Soleil

Available from March 16 to 24, chef Evert Onderbeke of Soleil will serve up a medley of good eats for the occasion. Enjoy razor clams cooked with marinated shallots, tomato salsa and garlic confit vinaigrette as well as Brittany blue lobster with spring vegetables cooked in a lemon balm emulsion, before ending the meal with a yuzu souffle.

14. L'Orangerie, Help College Of Arts & Technology

Help College's culinary arts sector's restaurant, L'Orangerie, also joins Good France, with Chef Mohammed Razif Haron leading the kitchen team. Highlights include chicken gruyere with sautéed mushrooms, zucchini and tomato verrines bouillabaise and classic french napoleons.
