Gin bar Pahit has always been championing local flavours by using Malaysian ingredients to make excellent cocktails. They also recently were involved with the Gin Jubilee, the world's premier gin festival, with a special Laksamana cocktail, giving you a perfect excuse to pay this awesome bar a visit.

Another Modern Malaysian gem, except on the casual end of the scale, Li over at Damansara Jaya shakes up what you know and love about kaya, rice bowls and childhood favourites in a way that allows you to taste Malaysian food in new and exciting ways.

Recently opening this year, chef Raymond Tham of Beta KL started the restaurant to bring Malaysian food to haute cuisine status, focusing on highlighting dishes from the east, north, south and central regions. If that doesn't sound Malaysian we don't what else is.
