Dead Poets

Central, Hong Kong

A morgue-themed barbershop by day, a liquid art gallery by night—the only place on Aberdeen Street where you can get a fade and a cocktail in the same seat

The current ‘Liquid Gallery v4: Dead Painters’ menu treats cocktails as canvases: Van Gogh’s Sunflower arrives with gin and marigold cordial; Warhol’s Campbell’s Highball layers Jack Daniel’s with clarified Coke, tomato and strawberry. By day, @sauce.hkg works the barber chairs while coffee flows. By night, the red neon glows, the crosses multiply on the walls, and the room fills with the kind of crowd that reads drink lists like vinyl records. Sister bar to The Old Man, it’s the casual, playful sibling—loud, affordable and unafraid to spike boba tea.

Tatler Tip

All cocktails are priced at HK$80 with no service charge—one of the last bargains in Central.
