Shane Osborn's all-day-dining bistro where creative dishes meet a casual ambience

As the second opening after Arcane, Shane Osborne’s Cornerstone has taken some time finding its niche since debuting in the midst of the 2019 protests. Under Hong Kong-born Filipino chef Neal Ledesma, the bistro has decided to lean more fully into Asian gastronomy—as seen in dishes like ox tongue with crispy tripe, and mushroom and truffle dumplings—while staying true to the sustainable, Australian-inflected cooking espoused by Osborne. There’s room for improvement still—the signature grilled octopus leg leaves something to be desired in terms of texture—but it’s a cosy, unpretentious neighbourhood restaurant with much potential to be tapped still.

Signature Dishes

  • Ox tongue and crispy tripe
  • Mushroom and truffle dumplings
  • Braised Wagyu cheek

Tatler Tip

The brunch menu offers good value for diners looking for a lighter take on brunch classics with a twist.
