An elegant Chiuchow restaurant offering quality soya goose in the heart of Central
An elegant and classy Chiuwchow restaurant that provides both an intimate dining area and large tables for family-oriented events. The spaciousness and beautiful chandeliers make the area very comfortable and brightly lit.Chiuchow cuisine is famous for a few things, mainly its soya goose, poached cold crab and oyster pancakes. This particular restaurant is known for its soya sliced goose and tofu, commonly found in Hong Kong but rarely done well; so this is a must-try traditional Chiuchow dish. Moving on to the main, the Chiuchow-style boiled e-fu noodles with lobster is very fresh, succulent and comes highly recommended. Ending the meal, a traditional dessert of sugar-frosted taro strips is cut rather thickly but is surprisingly good and cannot be found in most restaurants in Hong Kong. The restaurant had an extensive wine list, but has only one option when ordering by the glass. The waiters are very friendly and polite but service is a bit lacking at times.Dinner for two, excluding drinks, is very reasonably priced, considering the quantity and quality of food, totalling HK$1,300.
Must Try
