Head to Cassia for classic Cantonese fare with a subtle twist that doesn't disappoint

Tatler Says

You would think that a visit to a Cantonese restaurant at a five-star resort on Sentosa would come at a hefty price, but at Cassia you may be pleasantly surprised. Food is excellent and well-presented and prices for big-ticket items are reasonable. The double-boiled rich chicken broth with live prawn, scallop, bamboo pith and shredded yam is an absolute must try, as is the suckling pig platter. The Peking duck is deliciously done, and highly recommended when fried with asparagus. Cassia counts the wok-fried Australian Wagyu beef with black pepper sauce as a signature dish and it’s not difficult to see why. The beef is perfectly cooked, and the sauce exudes a controlled spiciness that, believe it or not, is not overwhelmingly peppery. Service is never unfriendly, with wait staff more than happy to be themselves and interact with diners. The wine list is stellar; the teas are excellent.
